Click & Collect

Omnichannel is a hot topic according to a joint study by Roland Berger and ECE ("Dem Kunden auf der Spur", approx. 42,000 persons surveyed and 1,872 shopping diaries), one in three customers intensively uses multichannel options. We are finding that the boundaries between online and offline are becoming gradually blurred. The customer expects that he will be offered barrier-free multichannel shopping in the future. He wants to be able to prepare his purchases on the Internet, browse online and be inspired. At the same time, customers value the advantages of stationary trading such as immediate availability of products, touch & feel, the shopping experience and personal advice. Services such as Click & Collect, but also Click & Reserve are the perfect symbiosis of these customer requirements.


With the implementation of Click & Collect in the Future Lab app, we have made it possible for customers to shop for store-crossing products from various stores in the center within one app. Through the use of the point of sale and inventory systems from Inventorum, participating stores can update their stock levels which they wish to sell via the app. The customer is thus able to conveniently pay via PayPal for the jeans from one store and the matching jacket from another store via the center app with just a few clicks. The purchased goods are then available for collection in the stores on the same day or at a later, preferred date. A really convenient service with no waiting times.

The Click & Collect feature was a finalist in the Best of Mobile Awards in the "Commerce" category and in the ICSC Solal Marketing-Award 2015 in the "Emerging Technology" category.
